Going postal for a paper fix, review in The Independent
A review! A review! I set up a Google Alert for “Blue Mauritius” and I just received notification that there is a review of my book in the UK newspaper The Independent of today, 25 August 2006. Here am I in Australia reading it before probably anyone over there in hard copy yet!
Blue Mauritius does rather veer away from the general reader to cater for the person already interested in small, coloured squares of sticky paper. But Helen Morgan manages to stamp out tedium by featuring a large cast of obsessives…

Oh…how wonderful to be getting rave reviews! I’m so proud of you. You clever, clever thing, you! I can’t wait until my new computer comes in a few days and then once the switch from dial-up to light speed happens, too, then I’ll be able to link all over the place and really check things out.
Thanks Barb! New computer. That sounds good. We went from dial up to broadband earlier this year and it does make the world of difference, especially with Flickr. I’ve become addicted to reviews – I want more! The nice thing about this was that a couple of Mauritian news services picked it up and linked to it, and a couple of people with philatelic blogs too! In fact this chap said it looked like a must read!
