My gorgeous, beautiful website
I love my gorgeous, beautiful new website. Having my first book, Blue Mauritius, published and about to be released in the UK seemed a good reason to finally get myself on the web in this blog form.
There are currently only two copies in Australia, and I have them both. His and hers you might say. Mine already has scribbles in it. Mike’s is pristine. He’s up to chapter three. This morning he said reading it helps him go to sleep! I ask you!
The site was designed by my friend Russ Weakley, so it’s good for you as well as gorgeous!

Helen,
Once again, congratulations! The web site is lovely!!
Heather
Very attractive. Congratulations to you and Russ. The stamps are so alive on the home page. Maybe vivid is a better word.
Thank you Heather and Monica. Makes it very hard to concentrate on work, having a lovely website. What I really like is the random selection of my photographs from Flickr!
It is a very elegant web site.
Very nice site! And I love the pic of the two copies of your book! ;)
Thanks Brian (although I can’t really take credit) and thanks Richard – nice to meet you today!
Hi Helen from very cold Canberra!
Delighted to see the book about to be released. Looking forward to procuring a copy and, perhaps, being in the same city at the same time to have it signed. Especially delighted, enthralled and excited by your new website! Congratulations!
Georgie, cool! Lovely to hear from you! How did you find me? I haven’t done any promotion of the website yet, except through Flickr, or of the book, as it hasn’t come out here yet – but stay tuned here and I’ll let you know!
I work for the government, so I can find out anything… I’m also naturally inquisitive, and remembered the book was coming out (you’re the only published author I know, so I use it at dinner parties) so went online to find out what was happening. Can’t wait!
I now know that it won’t be out until 30 October in Australia Georgie, just in time for Christmas buying… I hope!
Gorgy website Russ, congratulations Helen xx
Congratulations, Helen, the website is really gorgeous – in fact it’s far too distracting for a humble worker at the digital coalface.
Thanks Jill. I aim to distract!
